This simple concept allows you to easily adjust the gap between the bottom V die, by loosening two 5/16" bolts and siding the 3/8" thick laser cut plates in or out. This will allow for tighter bends on thinner materials and or allow you to bend much shorter pieces of material that what is currently offered with the SWAG standard or heavy duty press brake kits.
The bottom steel plate has 4 threaded 5/16" holes and is laser cut out of 1/2" thick steel which sits upon the bottom die of the SWAG 20 ton press brake kits. The total usable bending width between the four fasteners is 19.25". The "Flat Top" is a self contained unit and can be removed or slid into position with in a few seconds.
Due to the custom nature of this product and the infinitely adjustable options It's bending capabilities are not easily defined. Please note that the 20 Ton Flat Top will work with your 40" and 50" brake but still only has a total usable width of 19.25".
Note: If you are not able to bend 90 degrees in, say, 3/16" material due to the top die contacting the bottom 1/2" thick steel surface you can shim up the two adjustable plates with ~1/8" flat bar to increase the distance the top die can travel before contacting the 5/8" thick steel surface.
The "Flat Top" adjustable bottom V die makes a great addition to the arbor press plates we sell HERE.

Fast delivery, a small part was missing so I called and had tracking number is 15 minutes. 100% would order from SWAG again.
Fit and function are excellent. Have not been dissapointed with anything I have purchased from Swag Off Road.
The addition of this Flat Top adj die to the 5 finger press break complements and completes the press. Enables the bending / fine tuning of smaller pieces of metal that you would otherwise need to stack nesting angle iron in the break to achieve. Very pleased, easy to adjust. Save the boxes so you can pack away when not in use. I oiled all components to protect the surface from flash rust. Yet another great product from SWAG.
One of my go to tools for forming auto body and 18-20 gauge pieces. There have been instances where I've probably push the flat top beyond it's limits by trying to put sharp bends in overly thick pieces, and that results in the two plates wanting to push outward. In a pinch I've used C-clamps to hold the plates from moving. Great product! Especially since it puts up with my abuse.
Just like the finger press, built to last. I did however found it necessary to machine a drop in bottom die to achieve the radius required in the heavy (11 gauge) sheet metal being formed for the engine oil pan rails considering the fitment there desired. Photos attached.
