Increase the bending capabilities of your SWAG Finger Press Brake kit!

SWAG Hemming dies perform an operation in which the edges of the sheet metal are folded over another part in order to achieve a tighter fit. This product includes precise laser cut pieces of 1/2" plate that can be stacked in a line or welded together to suit your application. The kit consists of 32 individual pieces that when fully assembled forms an 8" long Hemming die. Typical Hemming operations are used to connect parts together, to improve the appearance of the part and to reinforce edges.

The SWAG Hemming dies have the ability to bend up to 3/16" steel & aluminum material.

Please note: Hemming dies are tabbed together and require separating by the operator prior to use. Refer to pictures above.

Gives nice bends to 30 degrees

These dies bend to 30 degrees, the original bend up to 60 degrees, and the gooseneck bend at 90 degrees. Some have commented about the task of separating the dies, as they come tabbed together. I just flexed the parts at the tabs, and they came apart easily. I then used a 12 inch bench sander to smooth out where the tabs were. It took me about 30 minutes for both the gooseneck and hemming die sets. Both sets now work as advertised.

Using the Hemming Dies to bend aluminum brackets for an experimental aircraft...there are many many bending applications with aircraft; attach points, brackets and panel edges. Works well; Great Tool!
