Rudimentary but works as should. Clamp to work table
This literally went together flawlessly, and within less than an hour. Used it on the very next job. This really helps me position right where my torch hand needs to be, and leaves me less to concentrate on. The positions are endless, adjustability works in so many quick convenient positions. And being stainless means I never have to be concerned with staining, so it will look new for ever….. just can’t say enough about Swag………. 😊👍
The pieces all fit together flawlessly, I tapped the vertical post onto the buttresses and into the base lightly with a dead blow, and the post was dead on vertical, no adjustment needed. Easy welding, the fit is so good. And the clamp slides easily enough to raise to the top and store the horizontal arm vertically as well, so the overall footprint on my cramped welding bench is very minimal until needed.
The pictures show the unfair comparison between the Launch Pad and my old magnetic arm rest. So much smaller footprint, yet with being able to clamp to the table, a much more steady arm rest than the magnetic base I had.
Great tool, does the job and the angle adjustment is really nice. Pieces fit together perfectly for tig welding.
